Who may join New Jersey Homeschool Association (NJHA)?
You may be a homeschooling parent or grandparent, or a homeschooled teen, or the parent of a homeschool grad. You may be considering homeschooling in the future. You may simply be a supporter of freedom in education.
No matter who you are, your individual membership in the New Jersey Homeschool Association is important to our mission.
Why be a member of NJHA?
Putting your name on our membership rolls is similar to adding your name to a petition: you are adding to a collective voice in support of the freedom to homeschool in New Jersey.
Members receive email alerts when the NJHA board believes that there are emergent legislative issues in need of our collective attention. (We’ve averaged less than 1 alert per year over the past fifteen years, though a few years have seen short bursts of legislative activity necessitating several emails about collective action.)
For the rare times when a merchant or others may require ‘proof’ of homeschooling, members may request an NJHA membership card.
NJHA is free. We are an all-volunteer organization. We have no paid staff. We do not collect dues.
To join, simply email your name, address, phone number, and email address us through Facebook with “Membership” in the subject line. Your information will not be published. NJHA does not distribute members’ information to anyone, ever. Please check your inbox/spam folder for your welcome announcement. You won’t receive any other communication from us regarding membership.
Subsequent emails will be few and far between, based only on a perceived need to inform members about pending legislation or specific events.
If you would like an NJHA membership card, contact us through Facebook to ask where to mail a self addressed, stamped envelope. Please put “membership card request” in the subject line.
How can you help?
