Chessnuts
Our first meeting of Chessnuts for this school year is Wednesday, Sept. 2nd from 1-3 p.m. at the Evesham Library in Marlton. For those of you that do not know, Chessnuts is open to all homeschoolers that want to play/learn chess. We meet the first Wednesday of every month from Sept – June. Chessnuts
Chessnuts at the Mount Laurel Library. This chess club is open to everyone, children and adults (including non-homeschoolers) . As with the other club this is an informal club where people come together to play chess. We usually have chess puzzles on a demo board from books and some of the club members bring their own chess puzzles to challenge the group. As with the Evesham club, we are also available to help people learn the game through informal lessons. This club meets on average two Fridays a month from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. As with the other clubs, we love having new people come out and learn or come and play! There is no need to register, just show up! You can check our calendar for exact dates, since we have to work around library and holiday schedules.

Homeschool Band
Homeschool Bands of South Jersey is a music program based in Haddon Heights, New Jersey and is available to all area home schooled children. This music program will help children develop as young musicians, build personal character, and encourage self-discipline. Through performing numerous concerts each year these students learn to develop teamwork and the ability to grow with each performance.

The Homeschool Bands of Southern New Jersey wish to announce a new program for children age 9 (8 1/2 with permission of band leader)and up. Group music lessons will be offered to children with little or no music experience. Lessons will be held at St. Marys in Haddon Heights on Monday afternoons.
