Richard Garriott is the first 2nd generation astronaut. His website is a great multimedia resource for learning about space travel, the International Space Station, astronaut training, and space science and technology.
The official State site for NJ history has a multimedia kid’s section as well as a teachers’ section that includes additional materials. Unfortunately covers only a few items so far.
Free Homeschooling 101 lists websites offering free materials, subject proficiency tests, videos, etc. Be aware that not all materials are of value. One American history curriculum, for instance, manages to teach about the succession of southern states to form the Confederate States of America without ever mentioning slavery.
